Larsen announces result; stock slips 10%

At 12:15 pm, Larsen and Toubro was quoting at Rs 902, down Rs 101.65, or 10.13%. It has touched an intraday high of Rs 1,000 and an intraday low of Rs 900.10. The company has announced its second quarter numbers. It has posted 32.47% growth in its net profit of Rs 461 crore as against Rs 348 in same quarter of last year....

The important level to watch for on the Nifty would be 3,350.
"That’s the immediate level, and if that breaks, then the previous low of 3,150 will be the support on the technical side. You will see another round of short-covering coming up... if the index manages to cross 3,470-3,490, we might see the index re-testing the 3650 band again."

Yes, in Portfolio Tracker one has to add these bonus shares at a `0` Purchase Price manually....

L&T bonus shares have been credited in my ICICI Dicrect account. I can see them in my allocated shares section, but those bonus shares are not being displayed in my portfolio tracker. Do I have to add these bonus shares maualy to see them in Portfolio tracker? Can any fellow boarder guide me in this regard?

Bonus shares were visible in my DEMAT today morning - a total of 500 shares @ 1200.
I had already gone LONG on FIVE lots of November FUTURES @ 890. A gross profit of 100K was booked yesterday (in two attempts) and ploughed into the acquisition cost of my BONUS shares ... down-averaging those BONUS 500 shares to 1100.
Today morning I cover-shorted FIVE October FUTURES to gain another 50K. That brings down the acquisition of my BONUS to 500 @ 1000.
So the BONUS bonanza has surely started weaving its magic even in such a bearish scenario. Sure much more to come tomorrow by way of covered-shorting .

L&T Q2 net profit up 32%.

MUMBAI: Engineering and construction major Larsen & Toubro (L&T) today reported a 32.47% increase in net profit at Rs 462 crore for the second quarter ended September 30, 2008, (Q2FY09) when compared with Rs 348 crore in the corresponding quarter last year.
Net sales rose 39.66% to Rs 7,680 crore from Rs 5,499 crore in the quarter ended September 30, 2007.
The company said its order backlog will help immediate growth and it is cautiously optimistic on medium term growth.
L&T was hit by a mark-to-market (MTM) loss of Rs 37 crore, and the electrical division saw a decline in margins due to the slowdown.

Dear Libran, I myself have bougt 5 L & T shares on 29th September through ICICI Direct and thankfully have recived the Bonus shares (5) in my Demat yesterday. So there is no question why you will not.

People are taken profits after seeing the results.... the results are not bad,but market doesnt like to give extra valuations to any stock at the moment.... so,the scrip may face new resistance ata round 900 for coming sessions.......
